"I used UrbanSitter a few times and…"
I used UrbanSitter a few times and, well, I did find the sitter profiles helpful overall. The only thing is they weren’t always totally up to date. One sitter had old availability listed, and another had experience details that seemed a little unclear once we actually talked. I still ended up finding someone good, but I had to message people and double-check a few things myself. Not a bad experience, just wish the profiles were kept a bit more current

"Decent site, but slow replies"
I found a few sitters I actually liked, but most of my messages either didn’t get a reply or took days to hear back, haha. It’s kind of tough when you’re trying to find someone quickly. The site itself is okay, but the response rate was definitely a bit disappointing.

"Pretty easy to use overall"
I’ve been using the app for a bit and it’s straightforward. Does what I needed without much fuss. There were a couple small glitches here and there, nothing major, but still a little annoying when they popped up. Overall it’s been fine

I tried UrbanSitter because I needed help covering my weird work hours, it just made things more frustrating. The whole point was supposed to be flexibility, but that wasn’t what I got at all. Sitters would look available, then suddenly they couldn’t do the times I needed, or they wanted way more notice than I was able to give. Last-minute changes were a mess, and I felt like I was the one left scrambling every time. Maybe it works if you have a regular 9-to-5 schedule, but for someone who actually needs flexible help, UrbanSitter really dropped the ball.

"Easy booking, smooth overall"
I found booking a sitter on UrbanSitter to be easy, at least for what I needed. I liked that I could quickly see availability, rates, and reviews without having to click around too much.
Sending the request was straightforward, and I got a reply a bit faster than I expected. It definitely helped take some of the stress out of planning our night out.
I’d probably give it 4 stars overall because the app seemed a little slow at one point, but it wasn’t a huge deal. For the most part, it was a smooth experience

I’ve used UrbanSitter a few times now, the best part is that the sitter has been on time every single time. I can’t stand waiting around, I really can’t. Waiting for someone when you’re already trying to get out the door is so annoying, and I hate feeling rushed because someone else is late. One sitter even showed up a little early, which was such a relief because I had to leave fast. It’s just nice not having that extra stress. No waiting, no panicking, no checking the clock over and over. Makes the whole thing way easier

"Setup was a bit of a headache"
It took way longer than I expected to get my account set up, and a few of the steps were kind of confusing. I kept thinking I must’ve missed something obvious, but nope, it just wasn’t very clear. I was trying to do it while finishing my coffee before lunch, so maybe I wasn’t in the most patient mood, but still, not the best first impression

I found it hard to navigate. I don’t think it needs to be overly complicated, when you’re using something, you just want to find what you need without having to poke around too much. A simpler layout would make a big difference

I’ve tried a few sitter apps, and the rates here feel fair — a bit higher than what I’ve seen elsewhere, which I appreciate. Weirdly, I remember noticing it while my kid was wearing one sock and carrying around a spatula, but the pricing really did stand out to me.

"Worth it if you need help more than once"
i mean, I wasn’t totally sure about paying for a membership at first, but it ended up being worth it. We found a sitter in our area after just a couple messages, and I didn’t have to keep bugging friends for recommendations. The cost makes sense if you need help more than one time, and the site was easy to use too.

"Surprisingly reassuring for a sitter app"
I wasn’t totally sure about using a sitter app at first, and I still get a little nervous with that kind of thing. But UrbanSitter did make me feel better than I expected. Being able to see background checks, reviews, and connections through other local parents helped a lot. Our sitter showed up on time and was really good with my kid, which was a huge relief. I’m still probably going to be cautious, but I’d use it again

"Wish I’d Used the Payment Feature Sooner"
I’ve used urbansitter a few times now, i kind of regret not trying it sooner. The payment process has been super easy every time, no delays, no confusing steps, just pay through the site and you’re done. I also really like not having to scramble for cash after the sitter leaves. It just makes the whole experience feel a lot simpler.

"Decent for side gigs, but I wouldn’t fully rely on it"
UrbanSitter has been okay for finding caregiver jobs, but it really depends on where you live. I got a few messages here and there, but nothing consistent enough to count as steady work. The app itself is easy to use, which I liked, but the fees can be annoying and responses are sometimes slow. I also felt a little uneasy after paying because I wasn’t totally sure it was going to be worth it, and that made me kind of distrustful of the whole process. Overall, it’s fine as a side option, but I wouldn’t depend on it for regular income.

"Search and filters are basically useless"
The filters don’t really narrow anything down, and the search barely helps at all. I kept trying to find what I needed, but it just felt like I was getting the same messy results over and over. On top of that, having to keep verifying myself repeatedly made the whole experience even more frustrating.

I was kind of expecting there might be some extra charges popping up, but there wasn’t, so that was nice. Everything was laid out clear, or clear enough for me anyway, and I didn’t feel confused about what I was paying

"I’ve had a really easy time chatting…"
I’ve had a really easy time chatting with sitters through this. The messages feel straightforward, and it’s nice not having to jump through a bunch of hoops just to ask a quick question, which, is exactly what I need most of the time. It makes planning a lot less stressful.
